LEADERS EXPLORING GENERATIVE AI IN LAW
LEADERS EXPLORING GENERATIVE AI IN LAW
An authoritative study on the use of generative artificial intelligence at corporate law departments and leading law firms
The Problem We’re Solving For
In the first wave of GenAI inquiry, many law departments sent their own provider surveys. The result: fragmented, duplicative, and burdensome requests with limited comparability. This initiative replaces that with a coordinated, consensus-driven process that asks once and reuses answers (with permission), producing market-level benchmarks that benefit everyone.
The Initiative at a Glance
This is a co-designed market-intelligence effort. Law departments set the objectives; both law departments and providers help ensure the questions are clear, fair, and useful. Insights are returned to all participants as composite benchmarks (free), with optional deeper dives.
We call this approach a WIED Shot™ (“What Is Everyone Doing?”): a structured way to turn hype and anecdotes into comparable, behavior-grounded intelligence. This survey, focused on how GenAI is changing legal service delivery, is our flagship WIED Shot in legal services.
